Instructions for Blogging
WHAT YOU NEED
- Computer
- Internet Access
- Internet Browser Program (eg. Internet Explorer)
- Weblog Address (eg. http://06kellya.learnerblogs.org)
- Password (see Ms A if you haven’t got one)
- Something to write about (eg. Reading and Viewing Journal entry)
STEPS
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. In the address area, type your full weblog address exactly. Click Enter or Go.
3. On the right hand side of your blog is the navigation bar. Click on Login.
4. Type in your username (eg. 06kellya) and your password.
5. To write a post, click on Write in the menu bar along the top of the screen.
6. When you finish a post, click on Publish.
7. To view your blog, click on View Site (next to your name at the top of the screen).
8. To return to writing more posts, click on Site Admin on the navbar.
9. To edit posts that have already been published, click on Edit, which is underneath each post on your blog. It only appears when you have logged in. (Only you or Ms A can edit your blog)
10. If you get stuck or have problems, you can email Ms A on kanderson@bunburyshs.wa.edu.au
IMPORTANT NOTES
1. Your blog is part of your English assessment, therefore you should write using correct spelling, punctuation and proper sentences.
2. It is solely for English work, not personal stuff. Do not reveal private information.
3. When you publish your work, it goes straight onto the internet.
4. Sometimes people comment on your blog posts, so check your Comments section under each post. Anyone in the world can read your blog.
5. You can write comments on other people’s blogs as well. Try to be helpful with your comments. It is NOT a chatroom or msn etc.
